The Eau Claire Ambassador Program is a team of four trained professionals who work in the heart of Eau Claire’s downtown area, offering a friendly and welcoming presence. They work to improve safety, cleanliness and customer service. Ambassadors assist with tasks, such as working with people experiencing homelessness, greeting visitors, offering directions, helping with local information and ensuring that public spaces remain clean and well-maintained.

The Ballpark General Improvement District is located in the residential neighborhood and surrounding area of Coors Field — home of the Colorado Rockies, the city’s Major League baseball team.

Fourteen Ambassadors will patrol the district’s 30 blocks, providing cleaning, safety, hospitality and outreach services to district residents, visitors and property owners.

Downtown Durham has a dedicated team of Ambassadors who provide much needed clean and safe services. From sweeping and cleaning the streets to providing directions for visitors and jumpstarting car batteries, our Ambassadors are here to help.

Block by Block and Gainesville Community Reinvestment Area (GCRA) have partnered to install Ambassador services on the streets of Downtown Gainesville and the connecting corridors between the University of Florida, Santa Fe College and Downtown.  Ambassadors will provide hospitality, public safety and cleaning services and will be supported by dedicated social outreach support.

The focus of the Greater St. Louis Ambassador Program is to ensure that Downtown St. Louis is a safe, inviting place to work, live and visit. Our list of services include:

• Observing and reporting
• Serving as the eyes and ears for local law enforcement
• Foot, bike and vehicle patrols
• Secured building checks
• Referrals to human service programs
• Safety escorts
• Special event support
• Hospitality

The Near West Side Ambassador Safety Program is dedicated to ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all residents and visitors. Our team of trained Ambassadors provides safety escorts, vehicle assistance and an extra set of eyes for the Fort Worth Police Department. They’re here to help enhance the quality of life in the community by promoting safety and a sense of well being for everyone. They are funded by the Crime Control and Prevention District through the City of Fort Worth. They are responsible for an area three blocks by four blocks in the entertainment district of the West 7th area. The team consists of three Ambassadors, one of which is the Operations Manager. They operate Thursday through Saturday 6:00pm to 2:30am and 3:30pm to midnight on Sunday and Monday.

Working in the heart of Downtown San Francisco’s financial district, our Ambassadors provide cleaning and safety services seven days a week.

Block by Block Ambassadors provide a clean and friendly environment to the residents, visitors and businesses throughout the West Palm Beach Downtown Service Area. Safety, Hospitality, Cleaning and Pressure Washing Services are provided seven days a week.

As the arts and culture hub of San Francisco, theYerba Buena district has the highest concentration of museums and galleries in the city, and is located within the larger SOMA Pilipinas Filipino Cultural Heritage District. A thriving hub of cultural charisma, entrepreneurship, and diversity, the area bustles with hundreds of shopping, dining and entertainment venues, as well as convention space, hotels, and educational institutions. Technology companies, retailers and culinary artists incubate the next big thing. Senior housing blends with live/work lofts, family homes and condominiums. And, anchoring our neighborhood in the center is the treasured Yerba Buena Gardens.

Block by Block provides cleaning, safety, hospitality, special projects and dispatch to the area.

City of Elkhart Ambassadors provide supplemental cleaning services for the Arts & Entertainment and Riverwalk districts areas, as well as major destination parks. The Ambassadors provide concierge level service to support the City of Elkhart staff and to help provide a first class experience to everyone, including residents, visitors and business owners.  This program ties into the Mayor’s Neighborhood and Aspire Elkhart Initiative.

The Downtown Iowa City Ambassadors program, a collaborative effort between the City of Iowa City and the Iowa City Downtown District is an innovative initiative to enhance downtown services. The program, managed by Block by Block Management Systems, aims to elevate cleanliness, hospitality and public safety in the downtown business district and parking garages. The Downtown Iowa City Ambassadors program launched in June, 2024.

The program represents a significant investment in enhancing the downtown experience, underscoring the commitment of both the City of Iowa City and the Iowa City Downtown District to prioritizing public safety, hospitality and cleanliness. Ambassadors receive extensive training and competitive wages, ensuring they are well-equipped to serve as valuable resources for residents, visitors and businesses.

They are friendly, helpful and work hard seven days a week to keep the district clean and beautiful. From the Pedestrian Mall to the six parking garages, these Ambassadors take pride in representing the community and believe their efforts help make Downtown Iowa City vibrant and welcoming.

Downtown Decatur Ambassadors work primarily around The Square and Ponce De Leon Avenue keeping things clean and safe. Seven days a week, you’ll bump into a friendly Ambassador who will be helping with directions, addressing a quality of life issue, tidying up public spaces or beautifying the general district.

We partner with Block by Block, who is committed to building a stronger, more vibrant community, one block at a time. Through grassroots efforts, neighborhood events, and collaborative projects, we aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where residents, business owners, and visitors alike can thrive.

Located in one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Los Angeles and the epicenter for residential growth in Downtown, Ambassadors help advance Historic Core’s mission of improving quality of life for residents, property and business owners through clean, special projects and pressure washing services.

These dedicated men and women work diligently every day sweeping, emptying trash, and ​washing down sidewalks. Often the first to notice local problems like graffiti, illegal dumping, and ​maintenance deficiencies,​ their ​concern​ for the community is invaluable.

As Downtown Raleigh continues to grow into a dynamic 21st-century city with new developments emerging in different districts, an increasing residential population, and a continual flow of visitors, our Ambassadors serve to ensure a memorable and welcoming experience for those in our center city.

Our Community and Engagement Ambassadors are an information resource providing a direct, on-street connection to downtown happenings.

Further, our Safety Ambassadors contribute to the overall safety downtown by patrolling municipal-owned decks as well as the public realm. As the Ambassadors circulate within the 110 blocks of downtown on foot, on bicycles, and on Segways, they are alert and ready to call in the experts such as Raleigh Police or Fire/EMS at the first sign of an emergency.

All of our Ambassadors proactively engage the community by providing the following services:

• Direction and way-finding assistance
• Dining recommendations
• Cultural and tourist attractions
• Motorist assistance
• Safety escorts to and from any location in downtown
• Business check-ins and resident assistance
• Special event safety and information
• Quality of life assistance and outreach
• Aggressive panhandling and suspicious activity observation and reporting

Block By Block provides cleaning and general maintenance at over 350 bus shelters throughout the Transit Authority of River City’s (TARC) service area.  Cleaning and Maintenance Team Members provide litter abatement, trash collection, graffiti removal, spot and broad area pressure washing, as well as maintenance and repairs to shelters.  Safety Ambassadors participate in route safety efforts by providing a presence aboard buses along assigned routes to observe, report and deter problematic behavior that negatively impacts rider experience.  In addition to their daily assignments, our team also installs TARC coordinated marketing and advertising materials as assigned.

Launched in January of 2024, this small, but versatile, Ambassador Program provides cleaning services to the Old City District in the heart of Philadelphia, PA.

A Unique 4-way partnership between the University of Tennessee, and Visit Knoxville.  This is a Public Relations Program that is weighted primarily towards Safety, Hospitality and Outreach programming.  However, conditions in the public space will also be addressed in the public space. The service area is primarily along Cumberland Ave. located in the heart of the student and commercial activity just off the beautiful campus of University ofTN.

The West Campus Ambassadors are a specialized safety, cleaning, and hospitality team established by UT Austin, in collaboration with business and community leaders, and dedicated to the revitalization of Austin’s West Campus neighborhood.

Safety Ambassadors

Between 3:30 pm and 3:00 am, the Safety Ambassadors will be an onsite presence on foot and bicycle, and by truck, sharing safety resources and tips, escorting residents to their destinations in the late evening, monitoring the region for unwanted activity, discouraging panhandling, working with local law enforcement to address other problematic situations, and serving as another set of eyes in the area.

Cleaning Ambassadors

From 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, the Cleaning Ambassadors will provide daily cleaning services, including litter and trash collection, weed abatement, graffiti and sticker removal, pressure washing, and cleaning of street fixtures (benches, trash cans, etc.). In addition, the Cleaning Ambassadors will provide hospitality functions such as greeting visitors and providing directions, and homeless outreach and de-escalation.

The Longwood Collective’s popular “Outside//” placemaking program is in full swing in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area (LMA), featuring fun activities, musical performances, outdoor art, food trucks, fitness classes, and other amenities free and publicly available for LMA employees, patients, students, and visitors.

Outside// is supported by a team of three front-line “ambassadors” who help engage people with available programs and amenities and a team leader from Block by Block, a Kentucky-based firm that provides a suite of services to activate and maintain business and academic/medical districts like the LMA in Boston and cities throughout the country.

Arlington Ambassadors

After an insightful trip to Downtown Nashville, Tennessee in 2023, members of Downtown Arlington’s staff, along with representatives from our partner organizations and Board of Directors learned the impact of a Clean and Safe Ambassador program. Clean and Safe Ambassadors are more than just employees, they could serve as the first point of contact for visitors and as friendly representatives of downtown’s culture. Additionally, they can be the “eyes and ears” for our downtown community as they help keep our district clean and safe as we continue to grow.

After completing a competitive process, we selected Block by Block to help us launch this new program. Block by Block’s commitment to providing extraordinary service and meaningful engagement with customers will prove to be extremely beneficial in the coming year. Services began on November 1, 2023.
