A Day in the Life of a Block by Block Ambassador

We’re excited to share a new video, A Day in the Life of a Block by Block Ambassador.

Filmed on a beautiful fall day, we attached a GoPro to one of our ambassadors as he went about his normal day-to-day duties in Downtown Cincinnati.

Condensed down to just a couple minutes, the end result is a great representation of the daily life of all of our ambassadors, as they walk their rounds and keep residents and visitors safe and the streets clean along the way.

Sean Hawkins Joins the Block by Block Team

Sean Hawkins has joined Block by Block as Project Manager according to Jeremy Curran, President of Block by Block.  Hawkins will be instrumental in program implementation; executing project based initiatives including training, quality assurance and client relations as he supports Block by Block’s Clean and Safe programs for Business Improvement Districts (BID’s).

In announcing Hawkins position, Curran stated, “I am pleased to announce that Block by Block has hired Sean Hawkins to fill the critical role of Project Manager.  Obviously, the addition of Sean to our organization brings extreme value and great capabilities.  Sean adds a very unique perspective to our organization allowing us to have the ‘customer perspective’ on our team. We look forward to what the future holds for all of us and the benefits his skills, knowledge and talent bring to our customers.”

Originally from Louisville, Hawkins most recently served as the Executive Director of the Committee for Downtown Yakima in Washington state.  While there he was instrumental in the formation of the Business Improvement District.  Hawkins is credited with implementing key elements of the new downtown organization program including economic development initiatives, advocacy, media relations and stakeholder relations that increased the awareness and participation of the downtown business district. 

Hawkins has 14 years of specialized experience working with Improvement Districts and Tourism Boards.   Says Curran, “…he brings an in depth knowledge of planning, execution and ongoing management of a BID’s perception and image.”
